Had a fun lil sojourn down to the south coast on the weekend with Easy E and J-Bomb Jnr.
Was good fun hitting up the southern systems despite most places being a little shut down after some heavy recent rains. We met up with Deacon, Dowelly and J-Bomb Snr, along with Brad and his mate Chris. We had some fun around the campfire that night...apparantly the boys had picked up an american accent recently and had been watching too many US Bass videos...
Despite the fishing being slower than we'd hoped...we were still bringing in some ok numbers of fish (certainly better than we'd get anywhere within a few hours of Perth). Brad and Easy E both managed a 1.2kg fish each...with Ev's coming on a plastic from a snag James and I had just cast at 5 or so times with a hard body. Frustration levels minimized when I saw the size of the fish and realized we might have an ok day.
Anyways we moved about a bit and enjoyed the relative comfort of Ev's accomodation in Walpole after a cold night of camping. We hit some more spots and tried some new lures (due in shortly) which went off...and left back for Perth quite content and more relaxed then when we got down there...mission accomplished.
