Hi guys,
JiggyJigs.comis proud to announce that we have now become WA's only stockist/outlet for Egrell rods.
For those who don't know, Eric Grell is a very accomplished tournament angler and rod builder who has designed and built rods for over 30 years, and has done so for some of the biggest name brands in Australia (G-Loomis, Strudwick to name a couple). The reputation, particularly on the east coast, is one of rods of the very highest quality and the best performance one would expect from a hand crafted rod.
The Egrell Dezigns rods come in two models. The first model is "The Bear" and the second model is the "Egrell" series. The Egrell series price ranges from (approx) $429.95 up to $469.95 depending on the model, with the Bears pricing around $100 less. At these prices your getting handcrafted rods of the same quality as any top level brand in Australia, with blanks meeting or exceeding the best in the country, all for under $500. Incredible value when compared to the competition!
The Egrell range can be viewed
here.
The Bear range can be viewed
here. The Egrell series are made on HM Graphite and the Bear using IM Graphite. Both blanks use technology and design from Eric that are exclusive in Australia, creating a rod that has incredible feel and casting distance, and importantly increases the hooping strength of the blank. Both rods are made with guides that Egrell Dezigns bring in themselves. These guides are made with Silicone Rings and Titanium coated stainless steel frames...meaning awesome performance and long life.
The rods also come with a no questions asked 6 months from original purchase replacement warranty. After this period, Egrell Dezigns offer a lifetime rebuild on the rods for those who have had the rods for some time and would simply like the rod re-made to make it brand new again...this is performed at cost. Eric is yet to have a rod come back with complaints which shows great quality and strength in his blanks.
A lot of guys over east are using the S1's and S2's for plastic work (S1's for super light finesse work) and the S4's for their crankbaits and slightly large plastics (3"+).
I personally will soon have a S1 and S2 for myself that anyone can view, and we have already sold an S4 that I'm sure the owner wont mind showing people.
I am also having an S10 shipped over for guys who are doing inshore sport fishing up north or down here for Salmon, Tuna, Spanglies, etc, etc. This model has been described as the only rod in Australia that tailors that market correctly. This description is in print by some of the biggest names in fishing in Australia. There is also an article on this rod in this months (Feb 2007) Victoria Fishing Monthly for all to read.
The initial shipment will all be the Egrell series, however we will shortly have some of the Bear series to view aswell.
We've already had guys showing a lot of interest in the rods, and as soon as I can, I will have pics and more info up on our site. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will answer as best I can, and if I can't cover it, I'm sure Eric will be more than happy to help.
